Only on a surf shop's facebook page would you find a picture of a brewing hurricane with a bunch of "likes", but for the east coast surfer nothing makes them happier. This image was posted by Nature Shapes, a Long Island custom surfboard store in Sayville, NY with the caption... "Hurricane Leslie in perfect position. Just a beautiful sight as she squares up dead in our swell window and makes a fist to deliver a weekend (and more) worth of waves our way!"
Not to be insensitive at all, as we know what devastating damage a hurricane can incur, but there is a majestic beauty in the power of Mother Nature, and this satellite image of a perfectly forming hurricane is quite something to behold.
